In June this year (2021), this man (Mlauzi) broke into his ex-partner's home and stabbed her several times. It's one of many assaults his ex (Dee) suffered, in the 17 yrs they were together. When Dee finally broke free, he vowed to kill her and the stabbing assault was his latest attempt.
I know Dee, she lives in Scotland and I went to stay with her for a few days in the aftermath of the attack. While I was there, I learned more about the difficulty she's had, trying to escape Mlauzi's control. I learned that the police had been called on numerous occasions but routinely favoured Mlauzi's perspective and had in fact, called Dee a liar. A week later, Police Scotland received a tip off from a verified member of the public who'd been approached by Mlauzi and asked if he'd be willing to kill Dee, on Mlauzi's behalf.
The word 'liar' struck a nerve with me because I was also tarnished with that label by the Scottish protective services. It was many years ago, I was only 15 at the time but had left home and been directed to the care services by a GP who suspected my parents of child abuse. I was questioned by a psychiatrist who also contacted my parents. Following discussions with my parents, the psychiatrist judged me to be a fantasist and a liar and recorded his opinion as a medical diagnosis. Years later, my father was convicted as a paedophile and although I was proven to be telling the truth, the psychiatrist's diagnosis remains on my medical record and continues to impact my treatment today. I left Scotland shortly after my brush with their care services. I've since travelled extensively and am now happily settled on the southern most coast of England.
Scotland presents itself as progressive champion of women's rights but decades on from it's shameful treatment of me, you find the same tired tactics are still being used to dismiss, discredit and silence women & girls who report acts of extreme aggression & violence. In truth, I was disappointed but I wasn't surprised. What did surprise me was a brazen push forward of a whole new culture of aggression aimed directly at the women of Scotland that I've never seen before.
While I was in Scotland I became aware of several initiatives that the governing, Scottish Nationalist Party (led by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon) are attempting to force through parliament. The main one that concerns me is legislation to allow transgender men to legally define themselves as women. If passed, new laws will come into force that allow men who feel like women to be treated as women in law. The men will not need to remove their male anatomy or have a psychiatric assessment of their needs, they must merely wish to be women and The First Minister Fairy will grant them their wish. The new legislation comes under the GRA (Gender Recognition Act) and will have serious conseqences for Scottish women's rights & safety.
In the few regions globally where these laws have been introduced, there have already been criminal cases involving predatory males who've used their newly acquired female status access private, intimate spaces reserved exclusively for women. In one example a convicted sex offender visited The Wi Spa in California and exposed himself to the women and children present.
The proposals in the GRA give sexual predators the right to roam freely in spaces where females are particularly vulnerable like prisons, spas, hospital wards, toilets, changing areas etc. As predators are predisposed to blaming their victims for their predatory actions, it's inevitable that they'll regard the new laws as permission to commit crimes. A predatory thought process goes something like this, "well they know I'm a rapist so they wouldn't let me into the girls' toilets if they were concerned about who I raped, right?" The new laws are regarded by predators as an open invation to abuse.
So far, England has refused to accept the proposed changes to the GRA but Scotland seems hellbent on imposing them and has already adopted their ethos into several areas of female vulnerability. One of the most notable is the introduction of a s/hemale CEO at Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre. Mridul Wadhwa is a transgender male who's using his position as the primary Rape Crisis support provider, to enforce and legitimize deeply mysoginistic, personal & political views. Unbelievably, Wadhwa's been allowed to introduce new policies into the tatty shreds of Scotland's care services which identify what he calls, 'bigoted' rape victims. Bigoted victims apparently, are women who request female support staff after they've been raped or assaulted by a male. Wadhwa dismisses a woman's pain & suffering at one of the most degrading points in her life, arguing that the potential pain a transgender care worker would feel as a result of the victim's request should be prioritized. He further insists that the victim be re-educated as a condition of any therapeutic support offered and that she be persuaded to understand how damaging & hurtful her thoughts and actions are, to the transgender community.
It sounds unlikely, it sounds insane but this and many similar policies are being introduced and legitimized in Scotland to announce and promote a new somewhat warped legal definition of what a woman is. For example; they remove a woman's right to call herself a woman and criminalize her if she dares to. At the same time, they allow a man to be legally recognized as a woman whilst retaining the attitude & anatomy of a man.

Thankfully, I found a robust & diverse community fighting against the proposed changes to GRA and started this blogsite to promote & catalogue events in Scotland as they unfold. Its frightening that these policies even exist and deeply worrying that Scotland is creating a culture or cult movement from parliamentarians down, that are willing to enforce it. I wasn't aware of what was happening in Scotland until I went there so you can help just by sharing information about this attempt to wipe women's rights and protections out of Scottish legislation.
The policies being pushed in Scotland look like they're Scottish initiatives but they come under the umbrella of Humanitarian Laws which stem from the UN. The UN are not a democratically elected body yet they appear to yield an extraordinary amount of power to influence and change western law. The changes we see in Scotland are changes the UN wants to impose on the whole of the Western world and may in time, affect your life.
